St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital has been awarded the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for surgical services. ranking the Hospital among the best in the Nation for patient experience.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. 

This annual award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey participants during the course of one year. 

"This recognition truly comes from our patients," said Genie Aubel, President of St.Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. "Our team works tirelessly to take care of our patients as they would their own family and this recognition is an incredible way for those we serve
to say thank you." 

The hospital, which opened in 2007, provides a variety of surgical services including procedures using state-of-the-art technology. 

The press release said that the Boardman campus uses DaVinci robot technology surgical assistance in general, gynecology and urology cases, which provide a quicker recovery time than more traditional methods of surgery.

St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital is also the only local hospital for retina surgery and now, expanded surgical capabilities for robotic-assisted orthopedic cases.

"Our ministry has been part of the Valley for more than 100-years," added Michelle Aurin, Director of Surgical Services at the Boardman campus. "Mercy's mission drives our care delivery and we continually remain committed to continuing this level of experience for those needing care." She said.
