Some suites evacuated when SUV crashes into Liberty hotel
A Liberty Township hotel received an unexpected visitor late Wednesday when a large SUV crashed into the side of the building.

Police say that 49-year-old Michael Mcintire was driving the vehicle and smelled of alcohol.
According to the police report, Mcintire was driving to the motel to pick up his girlfriend who worked there.
Police say that Mcintire was driving about 30 miles per hour up Perni Lane, missed the turn to go under the hotel canopy and then stuck the building. Mcintire was alone while driving the vehicle.
A GMC Envoy crashed into the outside wall of the Comfort Suites dining area on Belmont Avenue just after 11 pm.
There was some exterior damage. Four units of the hotel above the damaged area were evacuated as a precaution.
When police offered Mcintire the blood alcohol content test, he refused.
Police say that Mcintire was released to a safe and sober friend.
Mcintire is facing charges for Operating a Vehicle while Impaired (OVI).
