BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio -

On December 27 just after 2 am, Boardman police were called to Halbert Drive and Linger Place because of an accident that ended with a car propped up on utility pole wires.

Boardman Towing & Recovery was called to get this car out of an unusual spot. With help from Ohio Edison, the towing company was able to lift the vehicle off of the wires without any further damages to the car or the wires.

Boardman police say that when they arrived the driver, 44-year-old Robert Pappas, was already out of his vehicle and standing near the accident.

According to the police report, Pappas appeared very unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcoholic beverages. Police say that Pappas had a difficult time answering questions regarding the accident.

Pappas had reportedly been on his way home from Sr. Jalapeno restaurant on Youngstown Poland Road where he allegedly had consumed (4-5) beers and several shots of tequila.

According to authorities, Pappas provided a breath sample and registered a Blood alcohol content of.169. Police arrested Pappas and charged him with Operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) and failure to control.
