Hubbard Police warn community about rash of car break-ins

Posted: Updated:
HUBBARD, Ohio -

The Hubbard Police Department has taken to social media to warn neighbors about a rash of car break-ins in the area.

According to the department's Facebook post, there were "numerous" break-ins in the city's 2nd ward overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.

The department said in the post that the suspects are entering unlocked and unattended vehicles during the overnight hours and removing the valuables contained therein.

Police are asking the community members to remember to lock their car doors and take any valuables inside.

Also, the department says it is actively investigating and asks that neighbors report any suspicious activity to the police for investigation.

The post reads, "As a resident of your street, you know what's unusual from that which is not. Please call us if you see behavior that's uncharacteristic or out of place."
