Warren police identify man killed in shooting on Colonial Street

WARREN, Ohio -

The man killed in a shooting in Warren has been identified.

Warren Police Detectives tell 21 News that 33-year-old Javaris Russell died after the shooting at an abandoned home on the 2100 block of Colonial Street SE.

The fatal shooting happened around 4 pm on Friday.

The shooting caused a crowd of nearly 200 people to gather in the area.

Multiple agencies were called to the scene to control the crowd.

Police do not know who shot Russell and no shell casings were found at the scene.
