Lordstown police are trying to track down the person who threw a full bottle of water at a man who was riding his bicycle.

Police Captain Chris Bordonaro tells 21 News that an adult male was riding his bike in the 5100 block of Tod Avenue just before noon on Friday, July 5, 2019, when he was struck in the back of the head with a bottle thrown from a car.

The cyclist didn't get the license number but told police the car was a purple or maroon 1970-1972 Chevrolet Chevelle with a black vinyl top.

The man was not injured, according to Bordonaro.
