Two Boardman teens were charged after they allegedly hopped the fence and were caught in a restricted area of the Akron Children's Hospital parking lot.

According to a police report, the two 17-year-old boys were seen scaling the hospital's fence at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday. A witness called the police and said that one of the boys was wearing a mask and that they appeared to have a handgun.

A police officer said that he observed a handgun sticking out of one of the teen's pockets and so they were both cuffed.

According to a police report, the "gun" was retrieved and was found to be a realistic airsoft B.B. gun with a tan handle, a silver slide, a detachable magazine and without the orange safety tip.

Police say they searched the boys and found numerous credit cards, Social Security cards, small coin-purse type bags, and Ohio driver's licenses.

Police also recovered a multi-tool with an open blade, a handicapped placard, lighters, phone chargers, Nike football cleats, a monthly planner and a black zipper pouch containing a large number of coins.

One of the boys faces charges of criminal trespassing, receiving stolen property, carrying concealed weapons and being an unruly juvenile.

The other faces charges of criminal trespassing, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of an alternative nicotine device, and being an unruly juvenile.
